The quality of resources ensures the quality of the product. At Canon, recruitment is an extensive process to explore and hire the right talent by exploring diverse methods.
For each position within Canon, there is a job description listing the competencies required for that role. Various methods of assessment are used to ascertain the level of competence relevant to the role that an individual is applying for.

Interview Process
There are multiple rounds of interactions to assess talent. These are based on Competency and Behavior Event Interview techniques.

To measure knowledge, abilities and behaviors we use various Psychometric Assessment tools. These tools provide additional relevant information on personality, values, and interests relevant to the job.

Training, Learning and Development

Instructor-led trainings
We offer a wide range of programs ranging from Awareness to Behavior, Technical, Sales and Product. Employees go through an average of 7 training days in a year. This is delivered by a fleet of internal trainers as well as experts from the industry.

E- Learning
Canon Achievers Platform (CAP) is our e-learning platform. It supports learning through an online medium where 100 courses are offered under various categories like behavioral, functional, product and sales.

Development Centers : Development Centers are conducted for all managers, to assess the potential on various competencies through a basket of tools. This is primarily used for the purpose of individual's own development and grooming for bigger roles.
Management of People through Effective Feedback: Feedback is a powerful tool to bring about change. This intervention opens and fosters communication within the team, with feedback from the team to the manager.
Executive Coaching- In Canon, we invest heavily into top performers and high potentials by giving them an opportunity to get coached which helps them while they are being groomed for bigger roles in the organization.
One to One Sessions: 1-2-1 sessions are conducted to identify the strengths and improvement areas of teams and assist them develop at individual level or as a team.
New Manager's Orientation and Training: All new managers are taken through a program which orients them with HR processes and essentials of man management in Canon. |

The index has been showing an increase year on year, placing Canon amongst the top 10% companies in the world.
