Canon India Software business has 3 divisions – ISDC, Design Centre and CoE.
Canon India Software Development Centre (ISDC) was set up in the middle of 1999 with an investment of US $2 million, the Canon Software Development Centre is one of the six such cutting edge technology centres established by Canon Inc. globally.
ISDC works with Canon Inc Digital Platform Technology Headquaters in key platform technology development in these areas:

Design Centre
With a vision to focus on Product Design Engineering and VLSI Engineering, Canon India has started Design Centre at Bangalore in 2008, which is an extended arm of ISDC. Design centre is geared to handle complete spectrum vis-a-vis defining new product features, development and QA, and product releases.
The activities encompass low-level device drivers for silicon validation, BSP and system software for various Real time and Embedded operating systems. Embedded software encompasses device drivers for storage devices, networking and other IO devices; Device stacks, Protocol stacks, middleware and embedded applications.

Center of Excellence (CoE) was established in the year 2004 as a division of Canon India Pvt. Ltd. that offers a variety of wing-to-wing IT e-solutions to businesses worldwide by undertaking offshore and onshore project development in India. Initial objective of CoE was to cater Canon group of companies worldwide. However now it is a strategic decision to spread our reach beyond Canon. CoE is a potential leader in providing onshore and offshore services with core competencies in:

Quality Team does Software Evaluation for all divisions to verify and validate it for use and spearheads Quality Management System development and institutionalization. The Software Development Centre has been recognized to achieve CMM Level 3 in 2004.
