Swiss Post International Singapore is the headquarters for its Asian Units with subsidiaries in Hong Kong and Malaysia. The Singapore office serves as a hub for the three Asian units. Their customers include publishers, financial institutions, large commercial printers, loyalty program specialists and many more.

Printing Chinese Fonts
Swiss Post International Singapore's existing high-speed 65 pages per minute printers were unable to cope with the complexity of their print jobs when it comes to printing of customer forms in Chinese fonts.

Most of the time, documents in English would print at the maximum capacity of the existing printer, but when it came to printing of Chinese fonts on forms for customers, the print speed would drop to only 8% of its capacity at about 5 pages per min. This reduced their productivity and efficiency tremendously.

Messy Cartridge System
Swiss Post International Singapore's existing printers adopted a cartridge system that leaked often, despite frequent servicing. This greatly inconvenienced the staff, as they had to call for servicing to specially clean the printers for up to 4 times a month.

As Swiss Post International Singapore's nature of business is extremely time sensitive, they cannot afford to have any delays. These delays may tarnish the image of the business and subsequently result in lots of business as well.

High Fax Cost

Swiss Post International Singapore found that printing of Chinese fonts is now a breeze. A job that used to take 45 minutes to process now only took a fraction of the time.

Leaking toner is now a problem of the past, Canon's iR 105 toner bottle is designed for quick and clean replacement and can be changed while the machine is running for non-stop productivity!

To further address their needs, an iRC 2570 colour multi-functional device was also proposed because of its ability to print consistent colour documents for proofing purposes as well as its ability to reduce fax cost. This is done by scanning the hardcopy documents into a digital format and then forward it as an email to the recipient.
